I would support legislation that every time a National Guard unit is deployed to a war zone, a member of Congress is inserted into that unit as a grunt, and a grunt from that unit fills the Congressperson’s seat. I think we would have a lot less war.

Well, while I kinda agree, it’s not like we are doing such a great job winning wars these days without adding knicker wetting idiots to the mix.

Send all the “Yes more war!” idiots to the front line as a battlefield unit: see if that changes their minds maybe?

Not likely. They would go in with security padding them like the styrofoam around shipped crystal. They’d never be in any danger, but they’d come home with bragging rights all the same.
