09:07 PM | | BTW, having just watched the “Oh, we’re not against porn, we just want to, you know investigate it.” “The Price of Pleasure” on Netflix I’ll go on record as being pro-porn. I just want good porn, not five strokes and an article about some !@#$ who makes good drawings of old locomotives.
If anything, porn flicks are lame: if you want to be offended try Richard Kern’s “Manhattan Love Suicides” (in which, the couple in love do off themselves, on camera, in an act of beauty and tragedy), or the Blu-Ray of Salon. If porn had the desensitization (apparently a work I either just made up or cannot spell) effect it’s critics claim, why has it not degraded* to this state?
* or acclimated, depending on your PoV.
Cave paintings depict sexual acts: porn was not born by the printing press, or the DVD stamper—it was born of people wanting to have a wank. And what’s wrong with that?
(Apparently, per the local “Apple Genius” it’s wrong if your porridge portion gets into the keyboard, but that aside…)
