The difference between the USA (3-9% atheist)and Canada (20-30%)(which is much closer to the UK (30-40%)in this regard) is interesting.  I thought the U.S number would be a bit higher.

I’m surprised Slovakia has a higher percentage of Atheists than the U.S. It seemed, when I was there, that Catholicism dominated everything.

Yeah, the US figure was really surprising, I would have thought it’d at least be in double digits. Although that said the burden of the label is pretty frightening.
