How many of us use our computers for personal improvement? Do we take online college courses? Do we do regular financial planning? Do we use all of tax and budget spreadsheets in MS Money? Or do we email, Fat Jerry, Facebook, search for porn, music, movies, or play games? The bottom line is motivation.

The personal computer hooked to the ‘net is a great personal soother. It will give you what you desire. If you want the box to make you a better student, you have to want to be a better student. Sometimes I feel bad that I did not become an educator. But our public schools do not offer the course that I would want to instruct, and that is one which would I would try to show children the joy of learning new things, and teach them how to explore new ways of learning more about the world around them. I always believed if you could make learning a joyous experience, kids would try to continue finding the joy.

The principal positive effect on the students was improved computer skills.

Yeah, and those are, like, totally useless. Who uses computers these days?
