Makes sense. My doctor told me that the GABA deficiency is what makes people go back to drinking. It’s unknown if this deficiency was always there, it’s currently assumed that it is the result of alcoholism.

Anxiety and violence has always run in my family as has alcoholism. They’ve got some other stuff on the market that helps (I took a GABA increasing drug), but not with the results of baclofen, as claimed by this article.

You can buy GABA (it’s an amino acid naturally occurring in the brain in sufficient/insufficient quantities) at health supplement stores.  It will not do anything for circumstances as described. You need the pharma engineered meds.

\By ‘You’ I mean a hypothetical individual with such symptoms.  I am not a medical doctor, pharmacist or other health care professional qualified to give advice on these matters. I am a lawyer who is fastidious about cleaning his bellybutton. I like long lazy walks on sunny days, songs about Jane and smelling salts.

When my liver swelled up until I thought my abdomen would burst and I peed green acid that made me scream with every drop, I quit cold turkey. The first week was a living Hell, but I didn’t want to die. Then it started getting better.

I read the headline as ’Dairy from a recovering alcoholic’ and thought ‘What would that taste like? Baileys maybe?’
