In the Good Ol’ U.S.A. a ‘rally’ means a party with beer and Apple Pie and Hot Dogs and HOT young women showing as much cleavage as possible. I don’t think this is a proper way to commemorate the kill of 10s of 1000s of civilians.

They have them on most U.S. college campuses, though Japan should start protesting itself considering the good job it’s done of self-nuking.

In the U.S. I thought a rally could be a pep rally of the sort you’re referring to but also could mean a political rally?
When I hear the word “rally” I think of the motorsport competition of the WRC variety (i.e. ‘Dirt’ for you gamer types).
