I have eaten cold water brook trout within a minute of it being pulled from the water. (There may have been a bit of chemical inducement involved.) But I haven’t had the pleasure of the squid or frog leg quivering before I eat it. As a matter of fact, I have only eaten cooked squid, and frog is one of the things I have never eaten.

Blame the soy sauce.

Soy sauce, rich in salt, caused its muscle cells to fire. To get motion, add sauce.
