I’ve never really gotten into that show, which is odd b/c I love most of the other Fox animated shows—Simpsons, King of the Hill, Family Guy, American Dad.

I like most of them, but while there were certainly similarities between The Simpsons and Futurama I could deal with that—something I can’t do with the whole Family Guy to American Dad progeny. Much as I like FG, A. Dad just seems like a slightly smudged xerox of the same thing.

Simpsons and Family Guy are good. I’ve never seen American Dad.  I don’t find King of the Hill funny at all, guess I don’t get it.  The only other Fox animated show I’ve seen is Fox News which is pretty funny.

Dude!  King of the Hill is effin gold.  It’s like a microcosm of the American condition.  With fewer fat people.

A big chunk of my love for American Dad is the fact that it’s set in the area around my hometown, and it paints a ridiculously accurate portrait of NoVa and the whole Beltway/Capitol Hill culture.

I’ve found the humor quotient of KotH is directly proportional to one’s geographical proximity to Texas.

“I’m gonna kick your ass!”

Most people don’t remember that Hank Hill started out as a very minor character on Beavis and Butthead, along with Bill D’Haute Rive.  And Daria, who was spun off into another great show of the same name.  Which is also the name of a pretty good Cake tune.
