I’m reading a history of the Supreme Court, and it mentioned that in the Plymouth Colony “buggering” was a capital crime.  Buggering of course being puritan slang for “doing it in the pooper”.  Only one man was charged and executed for the crime.

Which makes me wonder, if puritans couldn’t enforce sodomy laws, how the hell is the state of Texas going to?
