Did you get the new issue of New Yorker yesterday, or what?

Last night, actually. The cover was big news, so I had to post that. I read this run-down on the train and thought I’d share.

I’m a big Hendrik fan.

(I was pissed about FISA, too. Big time. But, the more I thought about it, Republicans didn’t mind the executive having this power as long as it was one of theirs in the office. Watching them turn into staunch civil libertarians overnight when it’s Senator Hussein X’s turn to data mine the telecoms will be entertaining. Plus, maybe Obama thinking about using the Republican version of the executive to keep an eye on the honky militia nutter explosion that’s going to explode like the Clinton years squared once he takes office.)

I had two and a half hours of sleep last night. It was an insomnia explosion. Explode. Bleh.

What politician hasn’t flipflopped? Don’t say Hillary, because she has, and I don’t want to hear it. The point of this is that McCain’s doing a lot more flipflopping than Obama, whatever the press coverage says. I think Hendrik was fair in calling Obama out where he actually flipped.

I was just amazed at the cartoon. It conveyed the subject well without showing his face.
