I’m trying to come up for a neologism for slacking equivalent of multitasking.  To me, tasking implies performing tasks, i.e. work.  But I’m not actually doing any work, nor am I at a place called work.  I am just doing several non-work activities at the same time (web-surfing, IRC chatting, football game on the TV, talking with other people watching the game ‘with’ me in the room, etc.)

So, what should this be called?  Is there already a name for it?  Here are a couple of ideas I’ve had:
Multi-slacking
Turbo-spudding
Power-laxing

Piping to null.
(A UNIX reference: if you have an application that wants to write error messages or debugging stuff that you don’t care about, you direct them to the “null” interface—aka a big black hole of nothing.)

Cycle Stealing: what an OS is doing when it interrupts the running applications to see if it needs anything.

Cooperative: an early form of multitasking where it was up to the application to determine when it would / could be interrupted by other tasks.

Dual-bore: watching a bad game on TV, and having an IM with someone you really don’t want to talk to.

Generating X.

Yes, some of these are two words not one, I’m a maverick.
