That isn’t a sign of blight, that’s a sign of the change in the lobbying law that wouldn’t allow you to become a lobbyist for 3 years after getting out of office. That took effect at the start of this year. I believe Dennis Hastert didn’t even serve the remainder of his term, so that he didn’t have to wait 3 years to collect the big lobby dollars.

None of those bloggers were talking about voting records, they used words like “sociopath”, “The Clintons, a Horror Film That Never Ends” (I must have been watching a different movie), “the hollowest form of political life,” and Keith Olberman’s “Special Comment” was so awful that I’ve never watched MSNBC again - I reprogrammed my remote to eliminate MSNBC!

And yet, the Obama-ites complained endlessly because Hillary ran an ad that said she was prepared to answer that phone call at 3:00 a.m.

Obama supporters attack like the Swift Boaters, and whine like little babies when anybody says anything even remotely negative about Obama. Just imagine what would have happened if Hillary’s minister had said some of that stuff that Wright said.

Andrew Sullivan is no Obama supporter. As soon as the horse race bullshit is over, he’ll get in line behind McBush. Count on it.

Never said they did. But it speaks to motive (that is if you buy the “liberal media” trope at all - sure was wondering where that liberal media I hear so much about was hiding in Spring of ‘03).

In the mainstream media, there is no ideological agenda, only status quo. Last year it looked like McBush would be blown out in the general, no matter who he was up against. So it was in the ad space sellers’ interest to tear down the putative opponents so that they could then breathlessly report a closer horse race until November. Obama gets some knocks, Clinton gets some knocks, McBush gets a bye to the next round.

So I read this in the print edition last night (b/c Flavor of Love was just not cutting it) and immediately thought to post it hear, so I could see some hair-pulling, boy-tit-revealing shenanigans.

Just kidding.  What I actually thought was, What if McCain wins?  I mean, ever since someone posted that pic of him snuggled up to W. like a baby mole suckling on his mother’s diabolical teat, I’ve been haunted by that image.  Haunted, I tell you.
