Not that I’m planning to grow poppies, it’s just a fascinating account and a great read.

Papivar Somniferum (Sp?) poppies are fairly commonplace in Vancouver growing in many gardens. AFAIK the variety is not illegal here. Old hippies in Kitsalano make tea with them. Nice sleep afterwards.
