Voter for the nest move:

1)Verizon, ATT/T-Mobile, merger.
2)Intel/AMD merger.
3)lenovo buys out HP.

I don’t keep as close as I should to the phone company goings on: suffice to say, nothing would surprise me there. So on 1, I’d have to agree it’s possible.

AMD have had problems over the past few quarters and beyond, and they don’t have much technology that Intel wants badly. I think Intel will either just let them hang in the wind, or wait a little longer and get a cheaper price. Of course, they might think the “Fusion” concept compelling enough of a cherry if their internal plans for an ARM like chip design go tits up.

I can totally see HP handing off it’s PC division to Lenovo (Lenevo?) much like IBM did and refocussing on areas where there is money to be made—especially if WebOS doesn’t scale well to anything beyond a smartphone.

So I can’t tell them apart, and hence can’t vote! Bummer!

But MS firing Ballmer has got to happen soon, unless they just want the company to crash and burn…
