Major entertainment on the TV last night.  I’m glad Kim’s fug face is off my TV screen already, but god, what a tool.  But then this morning I got to thinking, maybe this spotty dimwit had a point.  Like, first they’re strutting around in thousand dollar getups, and then they’re pretending to be homeless, and no one sees the irony in that?

And then I hated fuggy Kim even more for making me sort of see her point.  Then again, didn’t she know what fashion was about before going on the damn show?

I’m glad Amis stuck around, not b/c I like her or her Peter Gallagher brows, but b/c I feel I’ve got at least two more weeks worth of Amis/anus jokes.

I liked Aimee and Claire’s photos.  The rest were forgettable. 

The clear star of the episode was Paulina Porizkhova (sp?) Now that, Tyra, is how a supermodel ages.  I’m kind of surprised that Tyra would replace a milquetoast like Twiggy with Paulina, who so clearly outshines her in both appearance and personality.  Well, we’ll see.  I suspect that Miss Jay’s afro will get caught in the crossfire of a major Paulina-Tyra catfight.

I’m glad Amis survived just because she’s clearly batshit and she’ll make more interesting television. Which is why she survived, for the record. It has nothing to do with “potential.”

And I loved the look on their faces when Kim said she didn’t see the point in all this.

Is Fatima going to announce, completely sans segue and a.o.n., that she was genitally mutilated as a child every single episode? I’m not criticizing Fatima, it’s just not edited very well.

I agree that Kim had a point, but jeebus, her forehead was too distracting. And I have to admit, I don’t think that was the most shocking moment on the series.

Also, it’s nice to see that Tyra is still unashamed of cross promoting her shows. When she started gabbing about how she was homeless for a day on her talk show I knew we’d arrived.

Am I the only one who can’t stand Marveena? I think she looks like she bathes in some sort of oil. Everytime I see her, she has this unnatural shine. Like she’s got light bulbs under her skin.

And you gotta love Paulina’s critiques at Elite. Calling Darlene a tranny! Awesome. I totally agree that she and Tyra will have some serious friction.

Regarding Project Runway:

As annoying as Chris is, I hate Rami more. And as bad as the Hair was, I’d rather see the Hair then Rami’s stupid inoffensiveness. I just don’t like Rami. I think he’s smug.

But I thought Christian’s take on Chris’s hair dresses was hilarious. Christian is set for the win. Because, speaking of smug, Jillian seemed just a little too comfortable.

Rami’s demeanor is very familiar.  It is smug and it takes getting used to.

My people’s pride aside and all that, he doesn’t stand a chance.  He makes pretty clothes, but he has no versatility or particular innovation.  The competition’s between Christian and Jillian. 

Jill’s kind of psycho though, isn’t she?  That cold, calm determination is a little freaky.

I can’t wait for the makeover episode. Who do you think is going to cry the most. My money was on Kim, but I’ll have to rethink that now.

They all look far too clean, healthy and non-smelly to be homeless in an alleyway.

Yeah, it was pretty painful to watch.  The back story is that the extra models in the shoots actually are homeless teens/young women who live in this shelter that’s focused on helping women get an education and pursue a career while they are homeless.

An admirable cause to be sure, but Tyra is just such a bloody opportunistic egomaniac that she made it all about her playing at being Saint Oprah and saving the poor homeless young ‘uns by making ‘em fierce for a day.

I’m with Lady P. Rami’s a snooze. I was pulling for Chris. Should have known Pee-Are would take great pains to excise all personality (that isn’t Mango-style cattiness - we like our fags the same way American Idol does: young and thin, thankyouverymuch!)
