This morning, while driving home, I got to listen to “Set the Controls For the Heart of the Sun” on the St. Cloud college station. Made a rainy commute truly enjoyable.
I listened to Horace Silver’s Senor Blues on Satellite Radio the other day. The drive home is beautiful. For half the ride I am driving past a wildlife refuge--all trees and woodland, lovely. And Horace Silver’s Senor Blues is just ... if you like jazz, by it from Amazon or iTunes today.
It’s a touch expensive ($1.99 for the “title track” alone at Amazon: iTunes may be a better buying option (I didn’t check).
Nice piano-focussed jazz. I’m more of a horn-type-jazz guy, but this was pretty cool. Reminded me of the old John Cassavete’s TV show “Johnny Stilleto”.
