If you buy a cucumber, the sheen on your cucumber is corn. The pesticide used to raise any of your produce? Corn. Corn is in toothpaste. Anything that contains modified or unmodified corn starch obviously contains corn. But also, anything that contains maltodextrin, ascorbic acid, lecithin, lactic acid, lysine, maltose, MSG, and xanthum, among others: these are made of corn. The store that you purchase food in? That’s made (partially) of corn.
Reason being that certain giant companies got behind corn (long story) and the government subsidies sustaining it. Now we produce more corn than we can use. And continue to produce more and more corn every year. Agribusiness has to find a use for it, puts corn in EVERY thing.
