So long, Keith Olbermann

The way I see it, once the Feds gave the thumbs up to the Comcast/NBC merger, the loops were going to start going on the thumbs of the MSNBC. The “Lean Forward” messages of Mr. Olberman contradict the very essence of the Comcast business model. How long before Rachel Maddow is gone?

Comcast leans left, it would seem.

That could be interpreted as Comcast trying to buy a few edge votes. Trying to persuade a few Middle of the Road Democrats and Republicans to firmly drive on the business side of the road.

I’m sure he’ll be back—but probably not as conveniently as the poscast down load has been. He was able to provide enough humor and intelligence with the spin to be watchable.

Concurrent with the Comcast deal, once Jeff Zucker was gone as head of NBC Universal, Oberman’s days were numbered.  No longer there to coddle Oberman and allow for his eccentricities.  He will, by for an agreed period. He will probably show up on radio in the interim. A very talented guy but high maintenance.
