The BBC cheats. The LOTR trilogy is counted as one book, the Harry Potter septet are counted as one, the complete works of Shakespeare are not a book, either, and that’s only in the first 14 entries.

Oh, and as for Morrissey’s list: I’ve seen very few of the movies but read a great number of the books or seen the plays they were based on.
