comes amid intense debate over how to reduce sexual activity
This is a key statement: it’s basically the anti-fucking lobby. Sex as fun and entertaining and to be enjoyed with safety is not part of the equation. Sex, as your school taught you, is deviant, disgusting and wrong.
"For the first time, there is strong evidence that an abstinence-only intervention can help very young teens delay sex."
This kinda speaks for itself. The aim isn’t any public health issue: it’s just patronage in it’s worst form. Delaying sex is probably good, maybe good, but if all it does is delay then really, what benefit is there?
IMHO sex ed. should be abstinence is great, but if you do have sex, here’s how to do so in a way that won’t cause any harm.
