Good lord. On behalf of dear Mr. Carver can I just say that title is atrocious.

I don’t see why.

In my defense I didn’t write it.  Although I was too lazy to come up w/ my own title, a practice I personally find atrocious…

Oooh, kites!

The title is clearly a play on his book “What we talk about when we talk about love.”

omg, you don’t say!  And this Raymond Carver fellow is some sort of writer, then?  Thanks for explaining!

The title is clearly a play on his book “What we talk about when we talk about love.”

And that is a problem because?

Only means it’s grown enough in stature to be in the general consciousness. It’s fairly common for news headlines to riff on famous titles of books, songs, plays, etc., the same as they do with idioms and any other sort of catchy phrase that’s entered general parlance.

It seems a very odd thing to get one’s knickers in a bunch about. Take your top off, get the camera out, and quit worrying so.
