I caught sight of today’s fat jerry picture just as I was answering the phone. Thank god it was an old drunk on the other end of the line and my greeting sounded normal to him. I still haven’t quite caught my breath. Does anyone have any kind of explanation?

If you notice any of the following rare but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen and seek immediate medical attention: black stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, chest pain, weakness on one side of the body, sudden vision changes, slurred speech.

I wasn’t worried about cirrhosis so much as the giant consumption of ibuprofen I was taking for my foot.

People who have cirrhosis sometimes do not have symptoms until liver damage is extensive. Symptoms of cirrhosis and its complications may include:

Fluid buildup in the legs (edema) and the abdomen (ascites).
Fatigue.
Yellowing of the skin (jaundice).
Itching (pruritus).
Profuse nosebleeds (epistaxis).
Redness of the palms.
Small red spots and tiny lines on the skin called spider angiomas.
Bleeding from enlarged veins (varices) in the digestive tract.
Bruising easily.
Weight loss and muscle wasting.
Abdominal pain.
Frequent infections.
Confusion.

That would have probably been better as:

Is Hannibal Lecter your doctor?

No force-feeding, but I’ve been given a prescription that’s bad for one’s liver, and I’m wondering if my liver’s game. I’ve always figured I put my liver through the paces. I have to decide whether to follow through or not, or to just get on with my bad self.

That’s cool.  Like I said, there’ll be a real, grown up version in a monthish.

I hate all the baby Radioheads so much I’m starting to hate Radiohead (I call it the Rage Against The Machine effect) but reimagine those priveleged Oxford swats as misbooked guest artists on a mid-70s Hee Haw episode and I can’t get enough of it allasudden.

Hey GB, I added it to my library, I hope that it is okay with you.  I have a very wide assortment of many music styles, and I found your song to fits in with the group of songs I listen to while relaxing, include the various Dr. Who themes and some early 70’s Fleetwood Mac, and something I found on the web called Vast.  So it will be in good company.

Midfielder, too.  She can really...clear that ball.

But whathell, put it up if you feel like it.  My electric on this song was the only thing we recorded in that oven of a church that wasn’t drums.

I’m torn.  It’s really rough and we’ll have something more actual-recordy in a month or so.

It’s in WMA, let me know if it’s ass and I’ll go find my old file converter program and get it to mp3.

Sunnyvale, The Bends (rough mix)

But emailing songs doesn’t often work, I should warn you, as much of the time the email accounts reject things that are too large.

Hmmm. I want to hear this. We’ll have to get creative somehow. You either need to find a way to send it to me, or find a place to host it, b/c uploading it via the option on the submit page won’t work for a file that’s too large.

Pitched up on my computer.  If we come off chipmunky it’s not representative of intended final product.

I’m ripping the rough mix and thought to share The Bends, which is already promising without bass and in a barely-mixed format.  What the preference these parts for audio hosting?

I slapped my friend across the face this weekend. Hard too. She turned all red on one side and her cheek got flushed. I’d been wanting to do taht for ages, and the situation presented itself when after 30 minutes and two pints of beer and two pints of water consumed upside down she still hadn’t cured herself of the hiccups. “I think I need to be really, really surprised,” she suggested.

God that felt great.

or worse yet are there times when you’re getting drunk and you just really want your armpits to smell like a new Pamper?

If they supplied Pampers, you wouldn’t go in there that much.

Still don’t know what’s wrong with my stomach, but I’ve solved the rash issue! (Nothing bad, freaky or contagious, just typical me, sensitive skin, allergies, etc.)

As for the stomach, it’s probably just nerves. As long as its not connected to the rash, I’m not so concerned.

Walgreens is our premier service drug store, believe it or not. I like the CVS okay too. Duane Reade is nothing short of shocking in its ineptitude.

I was in a bar the other night, and the bathroom had the strangest assortment of complimentary toiletry items on the counter. There was a can of Baby Fresh Scent Secret Aerosol Deodorant in a basket with tampons and individually wrapped disposable dental floss holders. Is this in response to consumer demand do you think?
“Well I really like the band, and your beer selection is pretty good, but last time I was in there I wanted to floss, and had to bring my own. Can you look into it for me?”

Down here in the armpit of the U.S, we are having a lovely day. The drought finally broke this weekend, and its overcast, breezy and 87 degrees.
